The Cliff Restaurant Barbados. Now this restaurant was supposed to be the best on the island, but not so good, expensive, the table laying leaves a lot to be desired, and not good with the respect either, so who were they listening too. The setting is really good, the lighting too. We sat watching the sea, a shark in the sea, a shark in the kitchen. The food was reasonable but I have had better. It is because it is the best situated restaurant that it pulls the wealthy clients in. I expect that they would have been treated better than I was.
I watched as the table was being set for dessert, chocolate pudding, everybody received a spoon, and fork, and I only received a fork. So table setting, and table manners were a lot to be desired. Expensive, but was it worth it, no not at all. I have had better. I was wondering whether people have their own minds where being told what to do by someone who was definitely not worthy of my company.... Try a bit harder next time to have your own mind, and treat me better.

It was a shame that I had people around me that had followed me from afar. I thought this holiday was for me. But no I still had the idiots that have stalked me for years, and of course he had brought his girlfriend to serve the food too. But Hey Ho I was here to enjoy, and I did.
This place is a buffet service of everything Barbadian, so many Barbadian dishes for me to see, taste, and enjoy. I started as I meant to go on, tasting as much as possible, why not, how many times do you actually get the chance to visit, eat, and play in Barbados. And I had that invitation to do just that. Every morsel I enjoyed. If you go to Barbados pay a visit you will not be disappointed. It Is right on the sea front, the drive is different and you will take in some spectacular views of Barbados.

This is a place to enjoy, service with a smile, I did enjoy the smiles here, Barbados had an affectionate smile wherever I went, it was beautiful, I love happy people, enjoying life for life. We were here for the afternoon, lunch, with Prosecco, swimming in the sea, sun bathing on the deck. I was being looked after very well indeed. Binoculars out, we were being watched.
Sweet Potatoes Chips, this was the first time I had tried them, and it fitted the lunch. The waters were warm, with the stillness of life, wondering what creatures were below the surface. Enjoying the water, to enjoying the sun. This is a fabulous setting, each day was getting better by the minute, so much to see in such a short period of time. Hello Barbados. Thank you for being so open. I enjoyed every minute, regardless of someone trying to spoil my time here.

An Invitation to a Valentine's Lunch, I am always at a loss on Valentine's Day, personal to my heart, for me it is an empty day full of pain, so I was pleased that an invitation came to us via the owners. We would celebrate regardless of how empty I was feeling. A time to relax by the pool, not too much sun, just enough to keep my skin happy. This is such a beautiful Hotel Club. Quiet, and everything to hand for us the guests. The pool was cool enough to please.
Lunch was being served, and we found ourselves trying everything that we could muster. I wanted to try all of the Barbadian food that I could. The Club is in a beautiful setting, and is there to enjoy. The beach just a step over the side to your feet testing the water. Just enough to drink, and we were happy with the day. The wash rooms are a must visit when I enjoy a hotel or restaurant, as this is a big part of the ambiance. The wash rooms have to be decent for me to be happy. Thank you for my day, it took the pain away for that day, I enjoyed.

Love it, Love it, Love it. The most interesting Restaurant on board. My three experiences in The Restaurant Epicurean were fabulous. The first well of course "Afternoon Tea" arriving just a little late, as the ship was rocking, and the hour forward with my watch had caught me. But that lateness wasn't a problem. I was still served with a smile. Very attentive for sure. Different teas yummy, so the first was of course Earl Grey, then I asked for a pot of Darjeeling (The Champagne of Teas) and then very naughty indeed Chocolate Flaked tea, and it actually tasted of Chocolate. Love it.
So to the next time that I had the pleasure of this restaurant, I had tried to eat at The Glass House, but what I had chosen needed two people to order, it was only Chicken, and I really did not understand why I couldn't have a piece of Chicken without being told that I needed a companion to share with to complete the order. So a quick booking was made for me to have dinner at the Epicurean. I actually ordered Chicken with no problem, and Creme Brulee,
The Chicken was succulent, it filled what I needed it to, a glass of Bubbles, Champagne to my delight, the bread rolls were interesting. Each ingredient I could taste to the pleasure. And the Creme Brulee was out of the world, not the same old rubbish as restaurants hand to you, a gin cream to cleanse the palette. Then the waiter came with the Creme Brulee, Chocolate, and Raspberry cream, and set fire to my Creme Brulee, each spoonful of my dessert was so different, I was again pleased with my choice, and Chocolates to end this fine meal.
The joys of kindness, the third time I arrived at The Epicurean was with a couple who were on the cruise, they were from Mexico. I had invited them to join me as all the tables had been booked, so why not, its a chance to get to know people. Lobster I enjoyed, I was going to have Lobster at the Gala night but I didn't attend due to some discriminative comments that were thrown in my direction. So Lobster on the menu was to my delight. The Lady came with a bottle of Prosecco, we dined. Her partner a pilot was attentive towards her. An interesting meal. My dessert was Creme Brulee yet again, I loved the process, the last evening meal was to be spoilt by the attentiveness, and the food. Thank You ... A Fine Meal.... Nothing was a problem you were there to serve. I love it.

The Glass House
The Glass House was an interesting find. Wines with food. Fontodi Chianti Classico Italy. A wine for me that has the qualities of vanilla, a spicy taste that brings out the fish. Who said that you needed white wine with fish, as the taste has to be yours, the sauce with the shrimp, had a distinct coconut flavour, a slight hotness, with the wine a wonderful experience of taste. There was rice, but rice is not needed for me, it's a bland taste, and I look to the taste of the food.
Lime. and Coriander Asian Seabass Baked in Banana Le Jasmine, Rice, and Shrimp, and a Coconut Broth. This was what I was expecting of this restaurant. I had been recommended this restaurant. It came with a five star rating, well this time anyway.
Red Velvet Sponge, and Raspberry Cheese Cream. A small but delicate dessert that delighted the palette with a refined quality of sweetness, and an art of desserts, I could of had the whole platter, but that may come across as being greedy. A tasty menu, and with a glass of Prosecco to compliment the dessert in a fine way. Arm twisted to a second dessert. And I had found the the taste of Marshmallow Tea Cakes with Cream, and a Chocolate Crumb Base. "What ??? I hear you say. "Arm Twisted." "Yes it didn't take a lot of doing." And here we are Marshmallow with Raspberry Colis to top up the taste.
The Prosecco had a Lemon Fizz, it was a collective way of enjoying a meal without being disturbed. Simply beautiful.
My pleasure here was so apparent, the food was delicious, the wine was fine, and the service attentive.
It was a shame that they couldn't accommodate me the next time I arrived to taste their food, as I couldn't have what I wanted, only Chicken because it was a dish for two. Never mind perhaps next time there will be a chicken dish for one. No pleasure at all.

The ambiance was good. I only had one meal here, it was sit at the table with the many. The food would be of dining with the many. Me the Food Snob. Then I found out on my return home that I should of had my fine dining in the Meridan Restaurant. Thank goodness I didn't as some disrespect was apparent.
Meridan ... The Galley ... Azura
This was a lunch time viewing of the Galley, very interesting. It was a shame for the need to play. Not really interested in anyone who needs to do that. Having been in charge of a kitchen earlier on in my life, not to the scale of this kitchen, but I knew what to look for as in professionalism. The Chocolate fountain, cupcakes and many more interesting corners of a kitchen.
Then to lunch, so much food, each item on the menu was there. Too much for me. I like delicate portions to taste. The food was really good, the steak was a bit underdone, but nice to taste. It was a shame that it was spoilt by people. I felt after booking that there was going to be some trouble. Should have gone by my first feelings. A lesson to learn feel it, if it bothers you don't go. Tarnished by idiots who felt that they had a power.
Azura ... Sindu
A Restaurant with an Indian flare, but more to a special way of eating. A glass of white wine was produced, I am not a lover of white wine, fairy liquid comes to mind. It has to be Champagne or Prosecco if it's white or rose'. But the food was delightful, the attentiveness of the staff was pleasurable. If I was going to have a say, I don't like getting interrupted while I am enjoying my food with taking photo's or the cold sell. It's like being in a cafe'/restaurant close to the beach in Spain, where you get bugged by the local sellers. Here was to enjoy the food, and I did.
Breakfast ... The Azura
Now Breakfast I may have been a pain to the staff. I am fussy with what I eat, and how I have my morning routine. Patience is the name of the game. And they began to understand my needs. A buffet breakfast had everything you could want. Here I enjoyed the chat to others, and being overheard by others. It's a shame that I may have to step back and away from people even more because of the disrespect of my world, and my life.
